About Us
We listen first, then support. We take time to know each person’s story, their hopes, humour, joy, worries, routines, strengths and dreams.
We notice the details that help us understand someone well. It might be the song that settles them, the mug they always reach for, the route they prefer to take, the joke that makes them laugh, or the quiet sign that says today feels hard. These details matter because they show us what good support needs to look like for that person.
Across more than 80 locations in the North of England, we work with each person, their family, and the people who know them best. Together, we plan support around home, friendships, meals, routines, appointments, work, hobbies, worries, celebrations and future goals.
Our Values
Trust
Begins with being clear and honest. Trust grows when people know where they stand. We say what we mean, do what we say, and keep people informed, especially when something is difficult. Small acts of honesty help people feel steady and respected, like a returned call, a clear answer, or a promise kept.
Kindness
Helps people feel welcomed. Kindness is in the way we knock before entering, speak with patience, notice when someone needs time, and celebrate progress that others might miss. It is how people come to know they matter, not just because of the support they receive, but because of how they are treated.
Respect
Shapes the life someone can build. We see the whole person, including their voice, their home, their relationships, and the direction they want life to take. Respect shows in everyday things, like waiting for an answer, speaking to someone rather than over them, and making space for their views to shape what happens next.
Purpose
Opens the door to what is possible. Our purpose is to help people have more say over the life they live. That may mean learning a new skill, reconnecting with family, cooking a favourite meal, catching the bus, or simply being trusted to try. We keep looking for what is possible, one person and one day at a time.
Our Accreditations:
Our accreditations tell part of the story behind the care people see every day.
They help us keep learning, keep improving, and keep asking whether our support is making life better in ways people can feel. For us, quality is not paperwork on a shelf. It is the thoughtful conversation, the follow-up after a concern, the safer way of doing something, and the pride people take in getting things right.
